Global Markets Credit (GMC) organization is responsible for credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring and portfolio management of Global Markets (GM) financing and traded products transactions.

  • GMC is a global organization which partners directly with Global Markets FLU teams in relation to client selection, structuring and underwriting activities to drive revenue growth while maintaining appropriate risk disciplines.

  • GMC will also coordinate engagement in key control partners including Global Risk, Finance, Credit Review and Audit to accordance with our Risk Framework and internal and external standards.

  • GMC AM undertakes effective management of credit and trading risk exposures within established limit, tenor and documentation parameters, together with providing risk assessment, transaction structuring, deal execution and credit risk profile monitoring. GMC AM partners with teams globally, including Sales & Trading and Global Treasury Management to drive revenue growth. The team also engages closely with, but independently of, Risk partners, Legal, Operations, Compliance and other areas of the Bank.

  • GMC AM undertakes effective management of credit and trading risk exposures within established limit, tenor and documentation parameters, together with providing risk assessment, transaction structuring, deal execution and credit risk profile monitoring for non-bank financial institutions throughout EMEA.

  • GMC AM partners with teams globally, including Sales & Trading and Global Treasury Management to drive revenue growth. The team also engages closely with, but independently of, Risk partners, Legal, Operations, Compliance and other areas of the Bank.

Job description and requirements

  • Team lead for UK Wholesale Credit Admin team

  • Support and assist Credit Officers on a daily basis in the management of their portfolios, including the review of global credit facilities.

  • Manage the onboarding of new fund manager relationships and new funds to assist in the credit approval process.

  • Creation of credit approval documents for new, amended trading and GTS facilities, and the processing of these through the bank systems of record.

  • Responsible for the monitoring of NAV ATE triggers set forth in trading agreements. Process includes obtaining and entering NAV’s on a monthly basis in our internal tracking database.

  • Use Tableau dashboard to proactively manage adherence to key metrics.

  • Review approved credit approval documents to ensure compliance with bank policy and procedures.

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues.

  • Respond to inquiries from credit officers and other business partners. Investigate and resolve incoming queries relating to the portfolio.

  • Maintain accurate document records.

  • Produce ad-hoc and prescribed reporting.

  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve operational efficiency, including partnering with technology on system connectivity and helping design and implement process and/or robotic solutions.

Required job skills

  • Prior experience in a management/team lead position

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or track record of relevant experience

  • Institutional banking experience and knowledge of financial traded and lending products is preferred

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral - ability to be concise and with attention to accuracy and detail; ability to influence business partners and stakeholders

  • Good interpersonal skills and team player with a proactive attitude and ability to think independently and laterally

  • Able to quickly absorb and follow credit policies and procedures; demonstrated ability to continuously learn and adapt with a proactive work ethic.

  • Strong work organizational skills with an ability to work under pressure to ensure commitment deadlines are met. Ability and willingness to work as part of a team is essential.

  • Strong technical skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with legal documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, F&O ) and loan documentation is preferred.
