The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting to 3 Driver/Porter positions for our Decontamination Services unit based in Enfield.

The unit opened in June 2019 and is the largest NHS decontamination facility in the UK , as our business continues to grow we need to expand our logistics team. We have the capacity to reprocess 14 million surgical instruments and 140,000 flexible endoscopes a year and we provide a service to NHS and Private Hospitals

Your role will be is to assist with the day to day delivery and collection of medical devices from our NHS and external customers within the London area and beyond and will require you to have the following

  • A clean driving license category C1 and if you passed your test on or after 1st January 1997 category B.
  • Previous van driving experience up to 3.5 tons
  • Experience of delivering to multi drop locations
  • Experience of customer relations and problem solving
  • Experience of organising loads and routes

The 3 shift patterns available are:

Shift 1. Saturday 06:00 to 19:00 , Sunday 08:00 to 21:00 and Monday 08:00 to 21:00

Shift 2. Monday to Friday 05:00 to 13:00

Shift 3. Wednesday to Sunday 22:00 to 06:00

The hours are 37.5 a week but flexibility is a must for these roles and shifts can change depending on the work load, reasonable notice will be given if this is required and you will receive enhancements of pay for working unsociable hours. On joining you will be entitled to 27 days paid holiday a year.
