The Role

The Global Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for implementing BAU reporting processes and keeping pace with the demands of a dynamic regulatory reporting change agenda. Additional responsibilities include process improvement, governance and control. The team works closely with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Operations teams, Project Management teams, Technology, Brokers, Vendors, Industry Associations and Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day APAC/ NA side of the regulatory reporting to deliver on all ongoing reporting requirements
  • Understand upcoming regulations impacting the team and solution operating models to support same
  • Change management in support of new or amended regulations
  • Act as an SMEs ensuring a sound knowledge of reporting requirements, regulations and processes
  • Identify and drive process improvements - review current processes, identify opportunities for efficiencies and re-engineering to improve accuracy and controls
  • Control and Quality Assurance testing - build out models and perform testing to ensure that on-going reporting is complete and accurate
  • Internal stakeholder management, engagement with external industry bodies, vendors and with the Regulator as appropriate

Experience Required
  • Significant relevant work experience with extensive regulatory exposure
  • A proficient understanding of Regulatory Transaction Reporting (e.g. ASIC, MAS, SEC and OCC)
  • Ability to own and manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently
  • Proven ability to problem solve and drive efficiency
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and be adaptable to a changing environment
  • Ability to influence people, lead discussions and troubleshoot issues
  • Previous Asset Management background desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of regulatory vendors' systems beneficial
