The Ministry of Justice Digital and Technology team is made up of around 1,100 digital and technology specialists, located throughout the UK. We support the 70,000 staff working within the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) who do important, even life-changing work, with citizens and legal professionals.
Digital and Technology (D&T) is a pioneering team within the Ministry of Justice. We’ve taken the lead in a digital transformation programme which has introduced:
New technology including Office 365 and Google docs to enable better collaborative working
Agile ways of responsive team working
A number of successful citizen-facing online services
Data-driven thinking to enable more effective decisions.
These successes have led to us to adopt a functional leadership model so we can better join up digital and technology services across the Justice System and become a smarter, simpler and unified department. Doing this will enable the MoJ to meet business demand and support our users with end-to-end service accountability.
About the Team
This role will report to one of the Engagement Business Partners within the Capability & Engagement Team in the Strategy and Operations function. The purpose of the Capability & Engagement Team, by area, is to:
Support various channels to engage and communicate internally with team members and stakeholders or externally with the public to understand their needs and assist the business to respond accordingly
Use our engagement channels to support areas in their work to drive key strategies such as Diversity & Inclusion
Know what our talent landscape looks like and support the business in creating talent and succession pipelines
Provide staff with the opportunities, tools and resources to develop their capabilities
Organisation Design & Development:
Support the organisation in the design and development of its structure, teams and people, and its plans to deliver business objectives
Maintain, analyse and continuously improve people and role data to enable data-led decision making, and support Organisation Design & Development.

This role will be supporting work across our Capability, Engagement and Organisation Design & Development teams. The purpose of the Social Media and Branding Lead is to:
Continually develop the social media strategy to increase the D&T brand awareness and increase engagement
Manage all our social media channels such as Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube
Work closely with our Recruitment Team to develop and manage recruitment campaigns that promote our organisation and culture and allow us support our Diversity and Inclusion agenda
Create and manage a reporting dashboard on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics
Source compelling and engaging multimedia content to promote our organisation
Form key relationships with internal stakeholders within D&T as well as forging relationships with external digital and tech communities
Implement a content editorial schedule to manage content and plan specific, timely campaigns.
Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology
Other Activities you will be providing support in:
Building engagement of the Apprenticeship strategy among individuals, people managers and professions
Targeted Diversity and Inclusion activities to build capability
Engagement around organisation design and development.

We recruit using the Success Profiles Framework and will assess your Experience and the following Behaviours during the assessment process:

Your application will be reviewed and sifted against the Person Specification by a diverse panel.
Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
Should we receive a high volume of applications, a pre-sift based on your Experience and the Delivery at Pace Behaviour will be conducted prior to the sift.
37 hours/week and flexible working options - working from home or remotely, working part-time, job sharing, or working compressed hours.
