The Role
Wildbrain Spark is looking for a Content Strategist to join our team! You will provide strategic direction for the digital content of our franchise brands. As a specialist in content for AVOD, the role works for the central WildBrain brands team, sitting under the marketing function within WildBrain Spark. The successful candidate will develop a digital content strategy for key brands, shaping and implementing content strategy, and a joint business planning process as part of a cross-functional team targeting pre-school and 6-12 audiences. This is a unique role working across the company, and with the WildBrain Spark Partner Management, Distribution, and Production teams to ensure we create deeper content engagement for new and current brands. They will be responsible for ensuring successful optimisation of the brands’ lifecycle stages, to maximize all activations through content planning and distribution.

What You Will Do:
  • Integrate franchise planning into the AVOD content strategy across pre-school and 6–12-year audiences.
  • Drive the achievement of digital market share targets for key franchises through the implementation of product lifecycle roadmaps.
  • Support the forecasting process and internal business updates.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, monitoring industry trends.
  • Produce high-level planning, content proposals and briefs for internal teams and external agencies.
  • Help to grow the audience base and drive engagement through different touchpoints within the kids digital viewing ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager for Franchise Brands to align content plans and leverage learnings across digital platforms.
  • Monitor and further develop franchise reports with the WildBrain Spark Data Science and Distribution teams to showcase the brands content value and drive continual optimisation.
  • Ensure frequent alignment with the Brands team, and other functional leads to focus on objectives and defined key results for the content.
  • Own the communication process, providing monthly updates and quarterly content briefing with internal teams.
What You Will Bring:
  • Extensive content management experience, on AVOD or social platforms.
  • Experience in content planning and execution across multiple platforms and markets, ideally within the kids, lifestyle, or young adult genres.
  • Brand management experience, either under your remit or as part of a team and understanding of the lifecycle of a franchise.
  • A creative and social person with a passion for content who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience working in a global team.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills: you can prioritize and organize your workload according to the need of your audience and various stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator with good presentation skills; can confidently present content ideas and results to senior partners from across the business.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to get along with a variety of people.
  • Curious to understand and leverage the latest trends and market development in the digital kids’ space.
  • Ability to analyse data and insights, monitor performance and create better-optimised content Strategies, making recommendations to the brands' team.
