What you will be doing:

You will be part of a small team delivering High Grade Messaging (HGM) to the wider MOD and OGD audience.

Successful applicant will be part of a 4-person team which operate a 1 in 4 shift roster. Working 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern. Working hours - Shift work: 24/7 shift work, 2 x 12 hour day shift, 2 x 12 night shift, 4 days off

Defence Digital operates an organisation model in which every individual belongs to a function. The successful applicant will be posted into one of the defined Professional Functions on Standard Terms of Reference for the grade.

The Head of Function for each Professional Group determines the Continuous Professional Development path for their function as well as approving opportunities across Defence Digital for agile resourcing.

  • You will be responsible for maintaining network connectivity between interconnected systems and agencies, ensuring traffic flows are maintained and problems addressed.
  • You will monitor and control the HGM mainframe servers, responding to any faults or diagnostic issues identified within the hardware or application software.
  • You will prepare sensitive signals or other material for onward delivery via recognised Special Handling facilities.
  • To be successful, you will support your Line and Area Managers when required, carrying out tasks as directed and advised on any issues affecting the Communications Centre.
