Director Global Media Strategy

Leverage more relevant and timely data to rapidly and continuously adapt our approach to marketing and selling
The Brown-Forman Integrated Marketing Communications Center for Excellence will manage platforms, processes, and best practices, and ensure a linked “ecosystem” across the global IMC community. This new team represents our commitment to digital and e-commerce transformation and will be a growth driver for our brands for generations to come.

Meaningful Work From Day One
The Global Media Strategy Director role is a part of the Global Integrated Marketing Communications Center of Excellence (CoE) team.
The Integrated Marketing Communications Team includes Director level positions in Media Strategy, Inbound Marketing, e-commerce and Digital Performance.
This role functions as a subject matter expert on media for Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Leaders and Marketing leaders around the world.
It is a thought leader for Brown-Forman on the topic of media and drives thinking on linking media to other channels Inbound Marketing, e-commerce and Digital Performance.
Principal global contact for Global Media Agency and management of that relationship globally.
Key contact (in collaboration with other Global CoE Directors) for Global media partners (e.g. facebook, google etc).
Sets direction internally and with our agencies on best thinking on media planning and media measurement.
Global media & digital compliance teams would report to this role & would consider changes in media regulation, data protection, content safety, internal B-F guidelines & changes in key platform terms of business & operations.
Supports key markets in the development of media and communication planning and optimizes media thinking based on best global thinking and cross-country learning.

Manages Global Media & Digital Compliance
Global IMC Center of Excellence: This role works closely as part of this team to provide joined up guidance across media, e-commerce, inbound, content and performance analytics
Global Brand & Market IMC Teams: Understands brand growth priorities and strategies as input into the role of media. Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to these teams as well as setting global process & standards. Consults on media topics and where necessary reviews plans and problem solves.
Media AOR & External Partners: Works to maximize our relationships and seek additional value from these relationships.
External Industry Bodies: Represents and evolves Brown-Forman thinking based on knowledge and best in class thinking from external advertising and alcohol bodies.
What You Can Add to the Team
15+ years working client and/ or agency side in media and marketing disciplines including management of multi-country communication plans.
Extensive Consumer brand experience in this field is a must for this role ideally in a fast moving consumer goods or luxury brand company (i.e. not a B2B environment).
Demonstrated strategic thinking across media, social, on-line video, CRM, search, web-site, data and analytics, content and e-commerce.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy.
Managing a team of direct and indirect reports.
Evidence of impactful Strategic thinking and complex project management within a communications environment.
Experience in working with large media and creative agencies across markets.
What Makes You Unique
Certifications: Broad based business education such as Business Degree or MBA.
Experience working across markets in consumer communications for a multinational company.
Background living and working in different markets (International career track).
Ideally a candidate will have a combination of client and agency experience or have extensive experience in client management at the agency side.
A career track that has included brand management, insights or another core marketing discipline in addition to media or communications would be a strong plus.
