Executive Director - Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Trade Regulatory Reporting Program & Controls

What to expect:
The FICC Reg MO team is a 80+ person team responsible for the complete and accurate reporting of millions of trades to multiple Regulators globally as well as Business Analysis, program management and delivery for all new regulation and regulatory change. The global team has cross asset responsibility for Rates, FX, Commodities and Credit trading, and spans London, New York, Bournemouth and Mumbai.
Regulatory Reporting remains a key priority within Markets Operations, and the nature of the role allows the successful candidate to not only demonstrate skills in being able to run controlled operational processes at scale, excellent program management skills but also to pro-actively seek and resolve reporting issues not visible in the standard control processes. As such it is a high profile role within Markets Operations with exposure to many senior leaders.
The successful candidate will need to bring a strong knowledge of regulation and front to back trading infrastructure, as well as program management training and experience. They will not be afraid to step into the detail, pro-actively seeking imaginative approaches and solutions to continuously improve the quality of JPM's regulatory reporting.
We're looking for a highly-driven, independent, hands on and pro-active individual to lead the FICC Reg MO team, reporting to a Managing Director in London. Your roles & responsibilities will include:
§ Program management and execution on multiple regulatory changes, coordinating across multiple technology teams, legal and compliance and other operations teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery
§ Managing and leading the BAU team in the performance and tracking of multiple key controls on regulatory reporting
§ Manage multiple business, compliance an controls stakeholders within JPM, providing regular updates to senior managers within Markets Operations on controls status and issues
§ Pro-actively initiate reviews and deep dives into all aspects of reporting and present results to senior management
§ Budget management for the team including planning for and facilitating efficiencies
Operational Excellence & Innovation:
- The candidate will be required to drive innovative solutions for efficient operations and prioritize key technology enhancements
- The candidate will be responsible for driving automation solutions to streamline the business process
- The candidate will be responsible to identify project opportunities which will lead to significant business impact leading to financial saves, best practice sharing, reduce both manual effort and risk
- Build a strong and transparent culture for staff
- Advance inclusive leadership by supporting diversity & inclusion agenda, training, performance management, networking, mobility and mentoring
- Candidate will be required to engage, motivate and influence direct reports, teams, peers to enhance overall employee engagement.
- Identify and hire top talent individuals to recruit into the team
Risk & Control
- Ensure clear and transparent governance of metrics with a focus on transparency of actual regulatory risk
- Partner with compliance to respond to Regulator enquiries
- Partner with controls officers to ensure clear tracking of identified issues and full read across and resolution, cross asset class and cross regulator
Experience & Skill Set
§ Established Executive Director or equivalent. Familiarity with global bank's process and operational environment. Strong business knowledge product, process and system knowledge
§ Knowledge and understanding of front to back trading infrastructure and strong regulatory knowledge
§ Experience of running program management teams responsible for strategic level deliveries
§ Experience of managing global teams
§ Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects/ initiatives
§ Ability to drive automation and tech solutions across the team.
§ Strong analytical and problem solving skills including ability to think imaginatively to solve problems in different ways
§ Strong experience working with cross border teams and leading global initiatives.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept to communicate with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
§ Ability to partner with demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations while developing strong working relationships with them
§ Understanding of operational risks and related controls, audit and internal control framework
