Formwork Field Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

We have a vacancy for a Sales Engineer to join our sales team.

As part of the role, you will be expected to generate new clients and work with existing clients.

Sales targets will be set.

Key Skills for the job:

Good negotiation skills to close sales with new and exciting customers.

Promote our Brand.

· £25,000 - £35,000 Basic Salary depending on the experience of the candidate.

· Commission on paid invoices

Products you will be selling.

Formwork systems, Scaffolding Systems, Edge Protection Safety Barriers, and Construction accessories.

· Industry experience is ideal, if you have sold into construction industry previously, knowledge of the formwork industry would be favourable.

· Safety barriers and access platforms.

· Shoring systems. #


  • You will be selling to sub-contractors, RC Frame contractors, groundwork contractors, civil contractors, civil engineers.

· Dealing with new product introductions on an ongoing basis.

· Would consider somebody from other technical product backgrounds.

  • Technically minded and able to understand drawings and deal with technical issues.
  • On site experience and comfortable dealing with engineering teams and technical points of contact

We are looking for exceptional candidates only and must:

  • Must have a proven track record in construction field sales, selling a technical product OR be a graduate in a technical related field looking for your first role in sales.

· Coming up with innovative ways to increase market share.

· Cold calling and setting up meetings with new customers.

· Liaising with internal teams on quotes, enquiries.

· Management of business databases.

· Ensure customers are kept in the loop throughout the entire project including delivery times, any product issues, new product introductions and so on.

· Handling complaints from customers in an appropriate manner

· Keeping an eye on competition and upcoming market trends then putting a plan in place on how to introduce new products and who will be your target audience for this.

  • Have good presentation skills.
  • Have specification sales experience within the construction industry or qualification.
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Flexibility to travel in the UK.
