FX Services - Passive Currency Overlay Product Head - Executive Director

The Passive Currency Overlay Product Manager will be responsible for managing the growth and expansion of our Passive Currency Overlay product offering as we look to create additional, market leading client solutions.

This role requires a deep understanding of investor client needs, product development and foreign exchange trading. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work within a dynamic team and directly drive growth of a key strategic solution for JPMorgan. This ambitious program includes revamping and enhancing existing client solutions and platforms, enhancing client value proposition, expanding our client base and introducing industry-leading products for the bank. The role will also support commercialization activities associated with launching new product capabilities in the market.

The individual will work as part of the global FX Services Product Management team and is expected to partner closely with Sales, Trading, Operations, Technology, and other partners across Markets and Securities Services to develop and deliver innovative solutions.

Based in London, the role will report directly in to the FX Services Business Head. Responsibilities include:

Product Management:

§ Lead the Passive Currency Overlay Product team of 4

§ Define and communicate a clear strategy to expand the existing product offering and market it to clients

§ Lead end to end delivery of the strategic roadmap including system migrations, hedging model rationalization, new features and enhancements

  • Drive New Business Initiatives (NBIA) from concept through delivery, including requisite approval processes
  • Develop end-to-end program/ product management governance framework

§ Partner with eTrading with respect to FX price discovery and defining trade booking and risk management operating models for clients

§ Work with in house technology team in Agile methodology to deliver new products through strategic system builds

§ Analyze industry trends and competitive landscape

  • Create reporting for senior stakeholders and management teams
  • Deliver high quality marketing materials for the product
  • Work closely with the product managers and sales teams across Securities Services, to deliver seamless, integrated solution to the existing client base

Risk and Control:

§ Understand the risks across the operating model including market, credit, operational and regulatory risks

§ Partner with global teams in Business Management, Control, Legal and Compliance

§ Ensure that for all products and solutions the risks are understood and documented, and robust controls are in place end-to-end, including all activities related to client on-boarding, operational processes, legal, compliance, accounting and tax

§ Continuously review operational procedures, data flow and system dependencies of the existing business processes in an effort to identify risk, gaps and improvement areas


§ Highly motivated to design and deliver strategic changes to the existing product infrastructure

§ Able to take an idea from inception to delivery, and support business analysis with requirements and metrics

§ Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a structured approach to problem solving and an ability to challenge the status quo

§ Significant demonstrable experience of product or technology development and delivery

§ Significant experience in FX, with detailed understanding of the end to end flow analysis, pre and post trade

§ Strong understanding of investor client needs and solutions and a passion for working with and supporting clients

§ Team lead/management skills & experience

§ Ability to develop clear program management strategies and execute against them

§ Strong communication, partnership, and stakeholder management skills

§ Proven track record of delivering financial solutions while working in partnership with many teams such as business leads, technology, operations

§ Commercially-focused and entrepreneurial

§ Quick learner with strong attention to detail

§ Strong work ethic


§ Significant demonstrable experience in Senior Product Management within financial services

§ Knowledge of financial markets / foreign exchange

§ Experience working in PCO

§ Academic background in a STEM discipline such as Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science beneficialJ.P.
