We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Risk and Compliance to join our highly skilled and knowledgeable team within Capita Learning. You will be accountable for creating and implementing the strategy for effective compliance and risk management in Capita Learning. As a key contributor to business improvement within Operations, this role will contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements to drive income, increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop, implement and own the strategy for business continuity and crisis management ensuring the business has a clear strategy and recovery plan that minimizes any disruptions to normal operations.
  • Accountable for the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to assess internal and external threats and risks, recommending mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate
  • Accountable for issue resolution, root cause analysis and effectively embedding workable operating processes that manage compliance and risk, where operational owners identify and accept accountability for day-to-day compliance and issue management.
  • Own the development and implementation of all BCP plans and documentation for core business areas
  • Manage the relationship with all key stakeholders to ensure that any operational procedure changes are in line with the current data quality strategy and the impacts or risks to data quality standards are fully considered
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO accreditation and IMS process including 9001 and other accreditations as required

What we are looking for:

  • Strong people leadership experience within a multi-site customer service environment
  • Deep understanding of compliance and risk obligations and frameworks with a demonstrable experience and track record in a similar role at the level of accountability expected
  • Ability to interpret compliance and risk requirements and translate them into practical operational process, minimising cost impact
  • Strong commercial experience to understand financial impact of any issues or planned resolutions
  • Demonstrable evidence of owning issue resolution and embedding operational change to deliver sustainable quality and compliance improvement
  • Experience of developing, implementing and delivering strategies
  • Experience of managing an operational function with multi products/service streams
  • Project management and change management.
