SellersFunding is hiring an Operations Associate in London, UK on a full-time basis. This role reports to the UK Business Manager. The primary responsibilities include, but is not limited to, handling and assisting our customers in sending payments across the globe in multiple currencies; generating pertinent documentation in support of our credit underwriting process; vetting required documents in compliance with AML/KYC Policies; assisting in the management and monitoring of accounts receivables related to our credit portfolio; co-handling delinquent accounts while maintaining good customer relations; and, resolving customer inquiries (post-sales).

Essential Functions - Lending

  • Generate, verify, and submit daily collections and funding disbursements through our own Platform or via our bank(s).
  • Log, update, and report on collection activity and account receivable status.
  • Assist with restructuring existing delinquent accounts and off-schedule collections.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
  • Take proactive actions to encourage timely debt payments by high risk clients.
  • Use data analysis to develop and refine company's delinquency management strategy, helping borrowers avoid delinquency or default.
  • Upload and monitor defaulted loans assigned to Collection Agencies or external legal counsel.
  • Support legal & compliance, external counsel and collections agencies with account documentation.
  • Vet and validate Compliance Checklists, covering all required documentation submitted by our customers (new and existing), in alignment with our AML/KYC Policies.
  • Generate documentation related to both our lending products and payments solutions.
  • Timely and accurate processing of UCC filings (USA) and Debentures (UK).
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints – in collaboration with compliance on critical matters.
  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of our Credit Policies & Operating Procedures, AML/KYC Policies, Information Security Policies, Code of Ethics & Business Conduct Policy, among others.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer contact information in the systems.
  • May be required to support other queues to facilitate teamwork in the department.
  • Ensure that all customer files are complete; identify any documentation deficiencies and escalate critical matters to Head of Operations and/or Compliance for timely resolutions.

Essential Functions – Payments

  • Generate, verify, and submit daily collections and funding disbursements through our own Platform or via our bank(s).
  • Input and review outgoing customer payments (when needed).
  • Assist customers when converting foreign exchange.
  • Monitor and reconcile transactions / payment volumes across our Platform and bank(s).
  • Statement creation, review and distribution (when needed).
  • Dealing with customer queries and investigations.
  • Provide input to IT to improve/customize our Lending and Payments Platform.
  • Ad hoc project management support (when needed).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 2-year experience within accounting, collections or platform operational roles.
  • General proficiency and broad experience with loan servicing platforms.
  • Knowledge of collection techniques, a plus
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting concepts including amortization, accruals, etc.
  • Communicate effectively, written and verbal
  • Curiosity, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills to actively implement ideas in a startup environment
