Tom Schneider is a leading British design studio of high-end furniture. Based in London NW3 with European workshops we design and sell handmade designer furniture. Our customers are retailers, interior designers, architects and the public. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team, to help us look after the day to day running and help with all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate should be well organised, proactive and flexible. We’re a small team so it’s essential to have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn new skills and to dive into a varied set of tasks.

You will be a part of a hard-working and supportive environment where good work ethic and a willingness to learn is key. No prior experience of design/furniture is necessary as full training will be provided.

Primary objectives:

· PA to Tom

· To soak up all aspects of the business over time to enable taking on more senior responsibilities and managing new staff.

· To cover team roles during holiday absences

Main responsibilities:

· PA to Tom

· Being the first point of contact for all telephone enquiries from retailers, interiors designers and direct customers

· Looking after the general company email inbox and actioning any queries

· Guiding customers through the ordering process and giving advice

· Keeping customers updated on their orders/deliveries by phone and email

· Sending out order confirmations and order updates as required

· General office administration e.g. logging enquiries into database, updating mailing list, paying in cheques, sending out samples as required

· Logging enquiries and updating inhouse databases

· Ad-hoc tasks to support the team

Qualities and skills required:

· A professional attitude

· Great telephone manner

· Good knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook

· Strong organisational skills/ability to multitask

· An eagerness to muck in and take on any task

· Good communication skills in spoken and written English

· A proactive approach to working, with an ability to take initiative

· Motivated to work unsupervised

Salary dependent on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
