We are a fast growing haircare brand with a goal to elevate our eCommerce sales. We are looking for an analytical, hands-on Performance Marketing Manager with deep experience in customer acquisition strategy and funnel building across paid social channels. This includes Facebook, Instagram and Google Search. You will play a pivotal role in driving Flora & Curl’s rapid eCommerce sales growth by managing our digital advertising strategy.

As a natural collaborator, you will work together with our creative team (Social Media & Content Executive, PR & Brand Ambassador Manager, Creative Packaging Designer, freelance photographers and freelance video editors) to boost our overall eCommerce sales.

This individual must have experience creating and implementing highly successful strategic paid customer acquisition strategies for an early start-up or scale up business by using smart insights and analysis to improve and maintain optimised conversion rates. You will have meticulous eye for detail and optimising every step of the acquisition funnel through the use of data including retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

General

  • Develop and plan a market leading digital acquisition strategy to increase eCommerce sales
  • Implement and manage all aspects of our overall digital advertising strategy for Flora & Curl
  • Oversee various digital advertising channels
  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
  • Ideate ideas for ads and copy writing techniques and creative content from UGC, and execute clever photo and video campaigns
  • Measuring performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of web analytics tools
  • Suggest activities for improving the success rate of our campaigns

Day-to-day

  • Develop a successful and high ROAS customer acquisition strategy
  • Manage, and efficiently scale customer traffic and conversion funnel across
  • Perform daily bid, budget and creative optimizations to meet aggressive growth targets across all markets
  • Identify and develop innovative approaches to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention
  • Test and learn across audiences, bidding strategies, creative, and channel-specific tactics and report out material findings
  • Maintain a data-driven approach through continual experimentation and optimization to exceed aggressive company goals; with the daily evaluation of critical KPI’s (CAC, LTV, CPC, AOV and e-commerce conversions)
  • Utilise UGC and influencer generated creative content to produce top-performing ads and brainstorm new testing concepts
  • Be the end-to-end channel owner which includes tracking, measurement, attribution, optimization, reporting and automation.
  • Responsible for, bidding, planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing activities
  • Track and measure SEO for the websites and utilise Google Analytics metrics to provide weekly and monthly reports
  • Research competitors and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and to support the delivery of an integrated social media engagement strategies
  • Report on and analyse all activity, offering clear campaign feedback and insights, delivering actionable learnings and leveraging data points to inform subsequent activity.
  • Working with analytics, metrics and dashboards, distributing this information via regular reporting

Essential Experience

  • 2+ years of performance marketing experience within a beauty/skincare/haircare company
  • An understanding of effective copy writing and ad set-up strategies and techniques for marketing to our consumer – how do we communicate through our ads to generate ad conversion and engagement?
  • Successful experience in scaling paid performance marketing channels and platforms (Facebook/Instagram/Google Shopping)
  • Excellent understanding of paid social media/trends and enthusiastic about its role and growth potential within our wider media mix
  • Experience in a DTC start-up environment or direct-response agency is preferred but not essential
  • The following skills and experience is preferred but not essential
  • Graphic and video design skills to create ad content
  • Google Analytics
  • Management of Tik Tok/Pinterest/Bing ads
  • SEO

  • Tech-savvy and adaptable – in the ever-changing digital space with the ability to think like a consumer by researching new trends
  • Understands the aspects of social advertising content, how it’s created and most effective, and how best to use it to market to our specific customer
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and within budget
  • Strong numerical and quantitative analysis skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to work of own initiative and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and copywriting skills and the ability to relay information to key stakeholders
