A London-based Developer/D&B Contractor, with a large property portfolio across London specialising in Hotels and Residential properties. The company has an inhouse construction and design team, who deliver the New Build and Major Refurbishment Schemes, across Residential and Hotel sectors. The value of the projects range from £100k to £5m.
Role:
You will be expected to work alongside the Director and lead the in-house construction team in managing up to 5 sites simultaneously. Time will be split between the office and on-site dependant on the workload.
Duties:
  • Site Management – liaise with Site Managers on all sites to manage progress on site, ensure H&S procedures are implemented, and coordinate works between designers and site as well as material procurement and ensuring materials are on site.
  • Manage Sub-Contractors – oversee all sub-contractor issues on site. From initial tender and contracts, invoices and payments, through to commissioning and Practical Completion certificates.
  • Building Control – oversee the Building Regulations Compliance on all sites. Liaising with Building Control Officers, coordinating full plan applications and supporting drawings, to achieve Building Control Completion Certificate upon project completion.
  • Utilities – organise new utility connections or upgrades for sites. Liaise directly with the utility providers to obtain quote and delivery new service connections.
  • Client liaison – some projects will be funded externally, so you will be responsible for providing progress reports and dropline programmes to support the fortnightly valuations.
  • Planning – liaise with our internal architecture team to delivery planning applications, discharge conditions and liaise with Council case and conservation officers.
  • Design – as a D&B Contractor we deliver all areas of design. You will need to coordinate the external design team consultants to deliver internal drawings from planning to technical design ready for construction.

  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team
  • Good technical understanding of the built environment
  • Be a good communicator (written and verbal) who interacts well with Clients and other Consultants
  • Professional presentation, attention to detail and flexibility
About You:
  • Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 year's relevant work experience
