About Quantitative Research

Quantitative Research (QR) is an expert quantitative modeling group in J.P. Morgan, as well as a leader in financial engineering, data analytics, statistical modeling and portfolio management. As a global team, QR partners with traders, marketers and risk managers across all products and regions, contributes to sales and client interaction, product innovation, valuation and risk management, inventory and portfolio optimization, electronic trading and market making, and appropriate financial risk controls.


The opportunity is to join as the Global lead for QR Credit to drive the transformation of business using data and analytics. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management of the global analytics team for the leading Credit franchise.

Depending on the candidate, the responsibilities can span across workflow automation, business optimization, e-trading, product development, analytics designs, and valuation and risk.

This is a senior role, and requires a candidate with

  • Commercial mindset.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Credit business and the market microstructure.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Managerial skills and experience.
  • Extremely strong modelling knowledge, across traditional models and AI/ML techniques.
  • Strong interest in the technologies required to build a data driven business.
  • Excellent coding and design skills.
  • Experience with regulatory and internal control frameworks around the use of analytics.

Drive the strategic agenda to continue to transform our Credit trading business using data and analytics

  • Shape and coordinate the strategy for the use of analytics in e-trading and workflow automation.
  • Partner with our senior business leads to be fully connected with all developments across our business.
  • Drive the model research, in particular ML/AI, which powers our analytics.
  • Play a leading role in our code designs across C++, Python, and Java.
  • Work with technology partners and data teams on the workflows for our business.
  • Manage the Global QR Credit team, including strategies for recruitment and talent development.
  • Drive prioritization and planning process across the global team, ensuring our business runs efficiently.
