Deloitte’s Digital Tax Solutions Team (“DTS”) has a market leading reputation in London and across Europe. We are the largest of the Big 4 tax process and technology departments and demand for our services is growing rapidly. DTS brings together expertise in the areas of risk, compliance and technology in order to address the challenges of multijurisdictional tax operations.
In response to significant success and an increased emphasis on technology and innovation in a rapidly evolving market, DTS is recruiting Product Managers to undertake new project work within our business.
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Digital Tax Solutions team (‘DTS’) to work on exciting and innovative projects within our business.
As part of this role your key responsibilities will include: -
Developing software solutions as part of a development team working on a product build using an Agile methodology;
Managing your own workload and deliverables as part of a product team using DevOps tools;
Building your experience of the latest technology platforms and tools deployed on our innovative products and offerings, supported by learning resources;
Delivering a high standard of quality through testing and code review, and liaising with our Quality Assurance teams when they are conducting their testing;
Participating in knowledge sharing, peer review and group meetings across our Engineering team and the wider group;
Working with the Product Managers and Business Analysts in our team to understand business requirements, dependencies and timelines;
Working with stakeholders and customers where necessary to develop a good understanding of the business context and complex requirements.

Location: You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however occasional travel may be required to regional and international offices

Your professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or related discipline
Prefer MS Azure DevOps Engineer Expert and/or similar certification
At least 6 years’ software development experience including 2 years’ as a lead or DevOps Specialist
Strong experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services such as Azure storage solutions, app service environments and KeyVault
Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Git or similar development repositories
Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience with MongoDB desired
Experience with automation through PowerShell or other scripting languages
Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and responding relative to performance and availability of applications
Working knowledge of related technologies including encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity
Working knowledge of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
Knowledge of the concepts and principles behind DevOps, SRE, CICD, Agile, Lean, etc
