This is a newly created role within a fast-growing E-commerce brand for a Wholesale Business Development Manager!

Mela started as an award-winning supplier of weighted blankets which are a natural way to help you improve your sleep or reduce stress and anxiety. We are expanding into more product ranges within the home goods category and are now shifting our focus to grow our wholesale partnerships.

With recent features and interviews with GQ, Forbes, Marie Claire & others- we have a lot of eyes on us. We have also just won a GLAMOUR UK Wellness Powerlist Award 2021!

We are a socially conscious business and donate to a lot of mental health and charities.

Job roles & responsibilities:

- Oversee execution and management of UK wholesale partner(s) including department stores, big box and/or speciality accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with retail partners
- Build and maintain relationships with independent specialists (therapists etc)
- Own external launch of new partnerships; structure deals and manage budgets
- Partner with Head of Brand to create strategic direction for wholesale partners
- Partner with tech, finance operations, creative and product teams to launch partnerships and optimize business performance
- Partner with planning team to build and revise projections, identify risk and upside opportunity and roll accounts into global annual and demand plans
- Partner with marketing to develop and execute marketing initiatives with partners to ensure the success of the accounts
- Participate in weekly commercial business review meeting as key stakeholder
- Present account-specific marketing opportunities
- Work with buyers and PD to develop market-specific needs and opportunities including seasonal products and exclusive products
- Identify, react and create new opportunities to drive business with an account
- Build and maintain relationships with retail partners
- Represent the Mela brand and core values
- Review all PO’s and coordinate, 3PL and warehouse integration relative to account

About You:

- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Have the ability to devise and implement sales strategies for the growth of the brand.
- You must be a natural multi-tasker with excellent organisational and time management skills.

This will come with a generous salary and commission structure. Ideally, we would need you to start immediately. This is a remote position and you will be required to be available during UK business hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
