Kier Utilities & Rail provide a wide range of services throughout the UK, including network design & build, repair, maintenance and emergency response in the water, electricity, gas and telecommunications sectors, as well as specialist construction services in trackside rail activities.
The Rail business operates nationally and is looking to expand its capability and geographical presence as a tier 1 contractor working for Network Rail and other Rail clients. We’re currently recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager - Rail to join an established team representing Kier across the Rail sector.
In this exciting Pre-Construction Manager role, you’ll manage the bid process from start to finish to ensure a compliant tender submission is achieved on time to the required quality; ensuring that all client deadlines are achieved and communicated. You’ll develop capture plans and work winning themes to maximise opportunities in established and potential markets and produce tender settlement packs. You’ll also maintain the Rail opportunity pipeline and provide periodic reports on the pipeline opportunities.
What do we need from you?
We require a Pre-Construction Manager with significant recent experience of producing and managing tender submissions within the Rail sector, including but not limited to Signalling, E & P, Civils, OHLE and Track and a proven track record of successful conversion in tendering opportunities. You’ll have demonstrable experience of Rail tendering across multiple disciplines with an ability to produce strong compliant technical and on technical responses. You’ll also possess good communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build positive working relationships with the client, supply chain and internal teams. Good Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills is essential.
